For the fourth year, the Puerto Rico Tax Benefit Symposium offered business owners, financial advisors, investment bankers, and private individuals the information they would need to make an educated decision about investing in Puerto Rico. This year's investment symposium was held at the Condado Vanderbilt Hotel in San Juan on March 28th, and at The St. Regis Bahia Beach Resort & Golf Club on March 29th, 2017.
The St. Regis Bahia Beach Resort is proud to have hosted the second day of the symposium, and to take part in presenting again this year. On March 29th, our CEO, Martin Smith, discussed the residential real estate market in Puerto Rico. Attendees were then treated to a tour of The St. Regis Bahia Beach Resort and Golf Club, and finished with lunch at the Beach Club Restaurant before returning home to plan their move to Puerto Rico.
On Tuesday, the Honorable Ricardo Rosselló, Governor of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, kicked things off at the Condado Vanderbilt Hotel at 9:00 am, after breakfast and registration. Over 240 attendees experienced a full day of sessions like these:
The first day was focused largely on the nuts and bolts of finances and business in Puerto Rico, with additional sessions on banking, trading, and investment success stories featuring the managing partner of Capital Crossing, the director of human resources at Santander Consumer International PR, and more.By the end of the day, attendees had a clear picture of the incredible opportunities on the island and the tax benefits to be enjoyed by both businesses and individuals who choose to invest in Puerto Rico.
On Wednesday, we welcomed approximately 70 attendees to The St. Regis Bahia Beach Resort! The speakers demonstrated what life is really like here in Puerto Rico. After the residential real estate session, attendees were able to listen to David Sanabria, the principal of St. John's School, and two students who shared their experiences of attending school in Puerto Rico. Everyone then enjoyed one-on-one meetings to learn more about relocation services, banking and finances, the legal framework, and real estate in Puerto Rico.On the tour of The St. Regis Bahia Beach Resort, guests were able to learn about our luxury beachfront residences and amenities.
